The Museum of the Fort of Embourg has been open since 1973 and is run by the association of the Ancienne Position Fortifiée of Liège in the gallery of the fort. It is the first museum on Belgian fortifications with much prestige and re-examines the First and Second World Wars through a unique collection of arms, costumes and equipment. The Museum can be visited the whole year round, the fourth Sunday of each month from 2pm during tourist seasons, from March to September it is open the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month from 2pm. It is also open on request for groups of 5 persons minimum by appointment. The extent of the galleries of the fort and the outside areas are suitable to youth group visits such as scouts, role playing, sports clubs and many others. During the winter months the fort also houses a small number of bats which seek shelter in the tranquility of the gallery.
